The UK is a popular destination for international ESL students and immigrants from throughout the world. Jobs are found in the private institutes and government-run programs. An average wage of 10 GBP/hour is low considering the high cost of living in the U K. Most teachers are local and have taught abroad for a year or two before taking on a teaching career at home, where experience and a recognized certificate open doors to better paying jobs.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
EU Passport
TESL Canada, Trinity CertTESOL, CELTA or equivalent TESOL certificate with a minimum of 120 hours and a practicum.
[2] Two years of teaching experience is preferred.
